Reset the DOM with a Certificate of Occupancy
Can the DOM of a Listing be Reset?
If a property has been advertised on the MLS while in To Be Built or Under Construction status, the DOM can be reset once a Certificate of Occupancy from the applicable governmental authority has been obtained and a new listing has been submitted to the MLS.
How do I Reset DOM on a New Construction Listing?
1. Cancel the current listing.
2. Wait one business day. This is a critically important step.
3. After one business day, relist the property on the MLS. This will generate a new MLS number.
4. Send an email to the Member Services group at memberservices@utahrealestate.com with the following information:
- The old MLS number
- The new MLS number
- A copy of the Certificate of Occupancy
We will change the status of the expired listing to show Certificate of Occupancy. This will reset the DOM on the new listing.
