Searching Builders Update

How do I Search New Construction Listings with Builders Update?

1. First, access Builders Update by clicking on the logo from the left-hand side of the MLS dashboard. This action will sign you in to your Builders Update account, omitting the need to remember an additional username and password.

2. Within the Search Tab, begin entering search criteria using the search fields above the map. Search results will appear on the map and within the list on the right-hand side of the screen as you enter criteria. Available search options include:

  • Location
    • Search by City or Zip
    • Draw Polygon
    • Draw Radius
  • Price
    • Enter price in thousands
      Example: “400” for $400,000
    • For a price range, use a hyphen
      Example: “400-500” for $400,000 – $500,000
    • Use + or for a minimum or maximum price
      Example: “400+” for $400,000 or more or “400-” for $400,000 or less
  • Beds
  • Baths
  • Square Footage
  • Community (Located under “More Filters”)

Tip: Select More Filters in the upper right-hand corner to expand all available search options.

Note: Search results are color coded on the map. Grey indicates To-Be-Built properties while Orange indicates Inventory Homes.

3. Once your search is complete, work with multiple search results by selecting the check boxes on listings within the search results list. Work with individual search results by selecting Details.

Options for working with search results include:

  • Use Save to save search results for later use. Saved listings can be associated with unique buyers (add buyers to your Builders Update account by selecting Manage Homebuyers under the My Tools Tab) or added to your general Cart.
  • Use Email to email listings to any email address.
  • Use Print to print the full details, brief details, and/or community details for up-to 10 listings.

Note: A Buyer Version of each listing is available when emailing and printing search results with Builders Update. The Buyer Version includes your profile photo and logo (learn how to manage your Builders Update account settings here) and restricts information such as the exact address of the property and the contact information of the builder.

How do I Send Search Results to my Clients?

Builders Update listings can be shared with clients in a one-time email or in an ongoing automatic email (similar to a Listing Alert) known as the 24 Hour Concierge.

To send listings in a one-time email, select Email from the top of the search results list or the top of the listing Details page.

To send listings in an ongoing automatic email, select 24 Hour Concierge and Set Up from the Tools Tab. Learn more about 24 Hour Concierge here.
