Getting Started with Builders Update

How do I Access Builders Update?
Logging into your MLS-provided Builders Update account is easy.
1. Select the Builders Update Logo from your MLS Dashboard.
2. Accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
How do I Search New Construction Properties?
1. From anywhere within Builders Update, select the Search Tab to open the search page.
2. Begin entering search criteria within the search fields above the map. Available search options include:
- Location
- Search by City or Zip
- Draw Polygon
- Draw Radius
- Price
- Enter price in thousands
Example: “400” for $400,000 - For a price range, use a hyphen
Example: “400-500” for $400,000 – $500,000 - Use + or – for a minimum or maximum price
Example: “400+” for $400,000 or more or “400-” for $400,000 or less
- Enter price in thousands
- Beds
- Baths
- Square Footage
- Community (Located under “More Filters”)
Tip: Select More Filters in the upper right-hand corner to expand all available search options
3. Once your search is complete, select Details to view and work with each listing.
How do I Update my Account Settings?
Make the most of your Builders Update account by regularly managing and updating your account settings. Access your account settings from the main navigation menu by selecting the My Profile Tab.
Here, you can upload/update your profile picture and logo and even select a default search area.
Your default search area is automatically selected based on the location of your brokerage office. To change your default search area, choose from the dropdown list of metro areas labeled as Default Metro under the Contact Information section.
To upload/update your profile picture and logo:
1. Select the Edit button under Profile Picture or Your Logo on the left-hand side of the page.
2. Click on the Browse button to choose the correct photo from your device.
3. After selecting your photo, choose Submit.
Note: Profile pictures and logos must meet the size requirements of
150px x 50px. These requirements are indicated within the Builders Update profile.
Should I add my Buyers to Builders Update?
There are many benefits to adding buyer clients to your Builders Update account including the ability to send automatic emails of new listings to the buyer (known as 24 Hour Concierge), the ability to save listings to a buyer folder, and the ability to track buyer activity on BuildersUpdate.com.
To add a client to Builders Update:
1. Select My Tools and Manage Homebuyers.
2. Click the blue Add New Homebuyer button at the top of the page.
3. Enter the client’s name, phone number, and email address
4. Finally, select Invite.
Note: Builders Update emphasizes data privacy. Buyer information uploaded to Builders Update is not shared in any way and cannot be accessed or seen by any other Builders Update subscribers.
